I was just looking at the market and I knew I had to write to you as soon as possible. So, I'm going to keep this short and to the point but it's imperative that you read this if you want to prepare for what's coming next. Now, let me start with the most important piece...your game plan. There's no need to panic... let me make that clear. But I would advise you to definitely get hedged and prepared for the upcoming market trend I see building. And that means it's time to start looking into bearish positions to add to your lineup as soon as you can — this isn't something to wait on. Now, you're probably wondering why... so let's look at a quick breakdown. Take a look at the Russell 2000… specifically, the RSI.  Take a close look at the blue lines...what we're currently seeing is an RSI moving downward - and quickly - which sets off some pretty big alarms. Because this is exactly what we saw ahead of the 2020 Covid Crash. And when the market drops that fast, you have to be very careful. But being careful doesn't necessarily mean selling all your stocks; it simply means hedging your positions to protect yourself. Now, hedging looks different for everyone… It can mean reducing your bullish exposure for a little bit… If you're heavily invested in bullish positions, you might sell 5 or 10% and use the cash to buy a couple of put options on different things. Specifically stocks that you think will decline. Right now I'm looking at the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund - the XLY. I like a short here. But if you can't or don't want to sell short you can buy the XLY April 14, 2022 $220 put, which is currently trading around $5.50 per contract. If you go with the puts, just buy one contract for every $10,000 you'd have in a stock position. Now, like I said earlier, no need to panic but playing smart and getting ahead is the name of the game.
