D.R. on Cheddar.com: What the Inverted Yield Curve Really Means to Us
There's been a ton of concern in the market over the past week as a result of the inverted yield curve that began late last week. In my latest appearance on Cheddar.com, we had an in-depth discussion on the inverted yield curve and what it means for the market, as well as interest rates, going forward. I'll also provide some data which shows that, while this scenario isn't ideal, it's not all gloom and doom for investors. There's going to be great opportunities for in the short-term.
How We'll Manage our +303% Position Plus an Early Exit
Our Dentsply Sirona calls closed yesterday with the remaining contracts sitting at a 303% gain. These options had a great pop on earnings a couple of weeks ago where we made 273% and 100% gains at earlier profit targets. We bought longer-dated options than normal to minimize the impact of earnings volatility, so we had plenty of time to be patient on our remaining contracts. The stock has maintained its gains and has twice threatened to break out of its narrow range near 52-week highs.
Since we still have about three weeks of time left on the options, let's lock in gains.
