The Berkshire Hathaway of the Cannabis Industry

Dear Reader, It’s relatively common knowledge that one of the most remarkable growth sectors on the planet right now is in the cannabis patch. In case you thought this was going to be a short-term trend, think again. The process of moving from a non-existent legal market to a global powerhouse industry is a long upward climb of positive breakthroughs and accelerating mainstream adoption. Hence the rosy outlook: According to data compiled by Grand View Research, the global legal marijuana market was valued at 9.3BN and is expected to reach 146.4BN by the end of 2025. Most of that growth assumes no major additional legalization in the states. Which is why even these garish estimates could still be massively undershooting the mark. If you step back and look at the rest of the US, the picture isn’t a whole lot better. The graphic here shows a long list of states that may be forced to legalize cannabis before long simply to fill gaping holes in their fiscal armor. If these dominos start to fall, since the Federal government has admitted it can’t prevent states from controlling cannabis laws, then the growth curve we see now could steepen dramatically. Given this dramatic growth curve, one of the most advantageous business models imaginable would be an investment portfolio holding major positions in high growth companies in the cannabis space. Think of something like the Berkshire Hathaway of the cannabis space. Possibly the most interesting example of this approach now gaining traction is in shares of Organic Flower Investment Group.
