By Van Bryan, Managing Editor, Bill Bonner’s Diary America’s central bankers – men like Alan Greenspan and Ben Bernanke – get their faces on the cover of prestigious magazines. They get credit for “saving the world.” Certainly, they’re heroes… right?
Wrong.
As Bill sees it, America’s Federal Reserve chairs, with few exceptions, are scoundrels. They offer one thing only: inflation. Inflation finds its way into asset prices first, and then consumer prices. The only alternative is destruction.
It’s “ inflate or die,” as Richard Russell would put it.
The Fed has opted for the first option so far. But one day, it won’t have a choice on the second… | America’s Fake Money Will Get Fakier Longtime readers of the Diary will know about the scourge of “fake money.” Billions in fake money was printed, not earned, and spent by the feds on their various boondoggles… with disastrous consequences. But could America’s fake money get even “fakier”? Bill seems to think so… | | | How the Fed Censored the Stock Market Markets are supposed to tell a story. There was a time when they told you how the economy was doing, which businesses were “good,” and where you ought to park your money. No more. The Federal Reserve silenced Mr. Market from telling the truth. For a while, at least… | | | How the Feds Will Keep the Fake Boom Alive We’re living through a historic boom, Dear Reader. Stocks soar. The economy hums. Investors couldn’t be happier. Too bad it’s all phony; built on fake money and rigged interest rates. But to keep the good times alive, America’s policymakers will have to pull out the big guns. | | | Trump’s Next Fed Chair? President Trump isn’t happy. Our “man at the Fed,” Jerome Powell, won’t heed the president’s demand for rate cuts. Perhaps somebody else should have the job, POTUS muses. And Trump has a few ideas who that might be… | | | How the Fed Got America Hooked America is hooked. Like a junkie in need of a fix, the country’s stock market is addicted to low interest rates and “stimulus” policies. And when stocks start to get the shakes, they turn to their dealer deep in the halls of the Eccles building. | | | Is This the Most Dangerous Company in American History? There is a threat hiding in plain sight. That’s the message from Saturday guest editor Dan Denning. This company knows where you live. It knows what you eat. It knows what you want. And it’s keeping that information… forever. No, it’s not Facebook or Google. This is the most dangerous company in America… | | Regards, Van Bryan Managing Editor, Bill Bonner’s Diary P.S. Earlier this week, America’s most trusted cryptocurrency expert, Teeka Tiwari, held a free online investing summit. Teeka revealed what he believes will be the best money-making opportunity in 2019. And here’s the thing: It has nothing to do with cryptos. I can tell you that Teeka is one of the brightest financial minds in Bill’s network.
