Smart Money: New Signal Corona Del Mar, CA   Howdy !   2024 started off bitter-sweet for me personally...   ...while the markets went up as predicted, and it's great being 100% right about that considering it's my only job since 1998, I was very sick and even got my two front teeth knocked out in a freak accident.   // Quick aside: The teeth look great now. My dentist has all the latest tech. You'd never know. //   I still think this market has plenty of room to run. The number of doubters is astonishing. No surprise considering that the #1 selling newsletter promo in 2012 -- three years after the bottom -- was "End of America."   As further evidence, the "dumb money" E-mini S&P 500 traders (those with less than 1000 contracts) were selling in early January.   Odds are 83.6% that they will be wrong. Keep in mind that this strategy has been proven since 1993, and has been traded with real money since 2006. Since the dumb money started selling with vigor, that means the strategy officially sold TLT and bought SPY Monday morning.   Now let's take a look at the 5 bonus strategies I gave away for Christmas.   They been making new highs while I'd estimate a good 80% of traders are worried about the inverted yield curve, and other statistically insignificant studies (they conveniently leave out 1965 where inversion did NOT lead to recession). The LRCX trade was picture-perfect. If you followed along with me at Christmas, you'll recall me using the fishing analogy -- where we patiently wait for a big upside day to take profits. All I can say is...making tons of $$$ sure makes living through pain and sickness a little more bearable.   Cheers to 2024 being another great year!
