Max Monday: This Week's Reading Recommendations and Stock Play
By Tim Melvin

Dear Reader,

Happy Monday!

If you've found yourself short on great investment-related reading material recently, then you're in luck - with this new Monday issue, I have you covered!

In this reoccurring e-letter, you will receive 2 readings recommendations for the upcoming week, all based on my very favorite readings from the week before.

If you sign up for Heatseekers, I will give you my full set of readings recommendations - this week there are 4 others! - and my Monday stock pick.

So let's take a look at this week's stock pick first, then dive into a couple of this week's juicy reads...

Trending: A lifetime of million-dollar opportunities is up for grabs

Capitalize on Real Estate with This Hotel's Luxury and Niche Locations

This real estate company owns 54 hotels with over 32,000 rooms in strong markets, primarily in the US.

These are not just any old hotels. 87% of the properties are in the upper end and luxury segment of the market and 28 of them have more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space, so they are frequent convention hosts. 70% of the properties are in the central business centers or are luxury resort destinations.

As with most of our Heatseeker picks, management has lots of skin in the game. They directly own a combined total of 771,000 shares. As much as 90% of the top executive's compensation is in the form of equity and option incentives.

I think this company is worth at least twice the current share price, and together with the dividend that creates an annual total return potential that is north of 20% a year if it takes five years for full value to be recognized. Of course, that goes higher if the value of the hotels increases over that time frame.

Has the Stock Market Stopped Making Sense to You?

One day, good companies are tumbling while shoddy ones soar for no reason. The next day, the opposite occurs. Up, down, up, down. Wall Street seems trapped in a perpetual cycle of chaos. But this isn't random. It's part of a bigger game that's being played.

FACT: We live in an age of supercomputers executing billions of algorithmic trades a day - creating MASSIVE price imbalances in stocks. But now a NASA-based technology can uncover these massive opportunities - and it could help you turn this mayhem into single-stock windfalls of $190,380... $242,174... $282,965... even $405,511 - over and over again! We're revealing everything on January 31. Click here to RSVP for free.

This Week's Reading Recommendations

  1. Stress and Investing: A 20-Point Checklist from Safal Niveshak
This article comes from a blog called "Safal Niveshak." Translated from Hindu, this means "Successful Investor." The blog covers the subject of value investing and human behavior.

This article caught my eye because stress is an important issue that people discuss not nearly enough in relation to investing. I have met a lot of people over the years who pay way too much attention to the day-to-day and minute-to-minute gyrations of the stock market, and I think the stress induced by doing so is probably as unhealthy as eating cheeseburgers and cigarettes.

I have pretty much perfected the art of stress-free investing over the past 3 decades by adopting a numbers-driven approach to the market, and that gives me an enormous edge over those attempting to time and trade their way to a quick fortune. This article can help you begin to see and profit the same way.

  1. Poor Charlies Almanac: The Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger by Peter Kaufman
If you don't have a copy of this in your house, order one... Today... Right now... Do it... I'll wait here while you do.

This collection of speeches, biographical material, annual meeting commentaries, shareholder letters, and other Munger related material, will make you a better investor, thinker, and person.

Buy one, refer to it often, and make sure your adult or near adult kids get a copy as well. I would happily pay twice the $62 cover price just for Mungers discussion on Cicero's On a Life Well Spent at the beginning of the book.
