The major indexes slipped Tuesday morning as investors braced for the Federal Reserve’s upcoming interest rate decision.
The Fed is expected to announce another 0.25% rate hike at the conclusion of its two-day meeting at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday afternoon.
Investors will also listen to learn if the Fed plans to hold rates steady following its next hike, or plans to continue tightening monetary policy.
