A Southwest Airlines pilot reportedly threatened, over the plane's intercom, to return the jet to its departure gate at the airport if passengers didn't stop sending him nude images via the iPhone's AirDrop feature as he was flying to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. iPhone users can transmit digital files without Wi-Fi or cellular data by using AirDrop to send them to nearby Apple devices. "So here's the deal, if this continues while we're on the ground, I'm going to have to pull back to the gate, everybody's going to have to get off, we're going to have to get security involved, and [your] vacation is going to be ruined. So you folks, whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures, and let's get yourself to Cabo." The footage garnered more than 2.2 million views and was shared on social media. |
